The Brooks Cascadia 2 sets a new standard for trail running performance. A lower profile stance, coupled with dual, independent, medial-lateral Pivot™ posts stabilize the ride in a neutral manner. The posts are shaped for adapting to, and reducing, destabilizing trail irregularities. Rock forces are kept in check under the forefoot with Brooks' unique Ballistic Rock Shield™. A well ventilated, quick draining, quick drying upper completes the package of this workhorse shoe for the runner on rugged trails. Lastly no intrusive stitching to irritate the foot, runs are blister-free.
Upper
Element™ linings, an upper technology featuring superior microfiber construction that provides strong protection against the elements in light, supple and quiet fabric that does not sacrifice breathability. Air Mesh for breathability and Hydrophobic Foams for comfort and moisture management.
Sole
A full length S-257™ midsole offers unsurpassed cushioning and durability. Rearfoot Hydroflow ST enhances both cushioning and stability. A Forefoot Hydroflow pad protects the forefoot while on the trail. HPR™ and Contact Rubber provides superior traction on wet surfaces and enhances overall road feel and durability. The Ballistic Rock Shield is Ballistic textile placed between the Outsole and Midsole. The shield disperses point-load pressure while maintaing flexibility thereby providing great trail feel and a smoother more comfortable ride.
